We hope you’ll join us and the Friends of Walden Pond for an exciting book launch! We will be welcoming acclaimed Architect Maryann Thompson, and Caroline Constant, author and Professor Emerita of Architecture at the University of Michigan for the launch of “Between Shadow and Light: The Work of Maryann Thompson”.
Thompson designed the Walden Visitor Center which was dedicated in 2017. It has won several awards for its wooden architecture, accessibility and sustainability.
“Between Shadow and Light” probes Maryann Thompson’s commitment to an architecture that is sustainable and regionally driven and her penchant for heightening the experiential qualities of each project through a holistic, consensus-building approach to design.
