BE THOREAU: Writer
Panel and Workshop

Saturday, January 20, 2018 • 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

presented by Concord Museum, Thoreau Farm Trust, and Walden Woods Project

How can we use Thoreau’s example to tap into our own writing genius?

While we explore Thoreau’s life as a writer, we will focus on our own writing potential – our observations of places and people – with the help of four individuals who have used Thoreau to challenge, inspire, and provoke their own work and the work of their students. Included in the program is a tour of This Ever New Self: Thoreau and His Journal, a panel discussion, and breakout writing sessions.
