How can we use Thoreau’s example to tap into our own writing genius?
While we explore Thoreau’s life as a writer, we will focus on our own writing potential – our observations of places and people – with the help of four individuals who have used Thoreau to challenge, inspire, and provoke their own work and the work of their students. Included in the program is a tour of This Ever New Self: Thoreau and His Journal, a panel discussion, and breakout writing sessions.
Panelists/facilitators include: Explorer and journalist Lawrence Millman, novelist Heidi Jon Schmidt, local educator Barbara Whitlock and local educator Darrin Berard
