Join DCR (Department of Conservation and Recreation) archeologists onsite as they share their expertise and knowledge on artifacts found at Walden State Reservation Visitor Center. You will see some of our recent archeologic finds and hear their stories, participate in hands-on activities, learn about best practices for preserving accidental archeological discoveries, and be invited on a 1/2-mile guided tour to Thoreau’s House site to hear about local archeologist Roland Wells Robbins’ “Discovery at Walden.” Tours will leave from the Visitor Center deck at 10:30am and 12:30pm.
