Don’t miss Terry Boutelle’s exhibit of nature-focused paintings at the Visitor Center, open now through July 2025.
“Trees and forest imagery prevail in these paintings. I use a range of materials, from acrylic to mixed media, to celebrate the forest as it exists with minimal human presence. I aim to draw the viewer into the picture to imagine being alone in the forest, experiencing the environment, the light, and the silence.”
A resident of Boston, Terry Boutelle was born in rural Massachusetts, and spent her childhood exploring the surrounding woods and pastures. She studied psychology, philosophy, theology, and art history at Boston College in the 70s and later received her MFA at MassArt’s low residency program at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Her work is in collections throughout the U.S.
This exhibit is open to all and free of charge. The Visitor Center is open every day from 10 am to 4 pm. Parking fees at the Walden Pond State Reservation apply.
