The film will premiere on PBS on March 30 (episodes 1 and 2) and March 31 (episode 3). Written by Globe Correspondent James Sullivan, the article shares incredible insight into the minds that made the film, particularly the film’s directors, Chris and Erik Ewers, as shown in the excerpt below:
“For Chris Ewers, Thoreau has come to represent an openness to ‘the necessary change that needs to happen from the beginning of our lives to the end.’ Thoreau, he said, counsels us to think of ourselves in relation not just to nature, but ‘to one another, to our communities. Most of us don’t stop to think this way.'”
