THE PHALANSTERY ABOUT TO BE INTRODUCED INTO BRAZIL.
We read in a foreign paper a project of this sort to be realized in Brazil, province of Saint Catharine, which, on paper, exhibits the promise of many of the conditions indispensable to success.
The journal which gives these details, proposes at the same time to form a “movable Opera Company,” or cohort of “musical missionaries,” a project which suits our fancy well. In this connection is given a pretty narrative of a body of this kind, which went forth from a natural impulse, as the Hutchinson Family have done among ourselves.*
