THE DAY BREAKS.

LITTLE child! little child! seeking a home ,
To the Great Spirit trustfully come,
It is no miser holding back treasure,
‘T will lavish upon you gifts without measure,
If you will but receive. Hold forth your hand,
And it is filled with the streaming light,
Open your eyes, look out o’er the land,
Behold! it is day, and you thought it was night.
