The Walden Woods Project Farm seeks energetic assistance for the end of our 2021 season! Our certified-organic vegetable farm is on 8 acres on Route 2 in Concord, MA. We run a small farm stand where we sell our own organic produce and other local produce. As we are heading toward the end of the season, most work will be done in the farm stand.
For the farm stand: organizational skills are essential. Retail experience and knowledge of produce are desirable. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, operating the POS system and keeping the space tidy. Candidates should enjoy interacting with the public.
Agricultural tasks may include planting, weeding and harvesting our own produce. Farm experience preferable.
This position require reliability, flexibility, hard work, patience, and ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs. This is a seasonal position. Schedule to be determined during interview.
