Education Department Volunteer Opportunities

The Education Department at The Walden Woods Project has a number of projects available to those looking to volunteer for a few hours on a particular day or for a more regular volunteer commitment. Depending on the task, some projects can be completed remotely. Current volunteer opportunities are:

  • For our Live Deliberately Essay Contest, there are two ways to volunteer—as a Volunteer Reviewer or as a member of the Essay Contest Advisory Board. To read more about the Essay Contest, click here. To express interest in being a Volunteer Reviewer, complete the form here!
  • Depending on the time of year, there is always some work to be done to prepare for the next, or follow-up on the most recent, Approaching Walden professional development summer program for educators. For more information about Approaching Walden, click here.
  • The Education Department has ongoing projects that will help us to improve our program offerings and outreach. Whether it is updating contact lists or researching new potential partners, this work helps to expand current offerings and share opportunities with a broader audience.

For more information about any of these roles, or to explore other possibilities that might suit your interests, please contact Sarah Walker, The WWP Education Director.
