The Walden Woods Project is pleased to host a very special virtual presentation by Ali Taghdarreh, who will speak about his years of work involving the translation of writings by Thoreau and Emerson into Persian. Some of you may recall his talk at The Walden Woods Project in 2015 when he had recently completed his translation of Thoreau’s Walden. At a time of global tensions and discord, this presentation is especially relevant and hopeful. Through his translations, Ali seeks to build bridges between people of goodwill through their mutual connection to the writings and ideas of great American and Persian writers. We hope you can join us.
