These events take place on TWO Sundays: May 11 and 18, from 8:00 – 10:30 AM.
Join Concord’s native ornithologist, author, and naturalist on a bird walk at Walden Pond State Reservation with frequent collaborators Brian Cassie (May 11) & Lilian Stokes (May 18). Alden is the author of 16 wildlife books, including National Audubon’s Field Guide to New England. He is also on staff at the Thoreau Society Shop at Walden.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars and water. Walking shoes, hat, and insect repellent recommended. Meet on the deck of the Walden Pond Visitor Center. No registration needed.
This program is free, but parking fees apply ($8 MA plates, $30 out-of-state).
