DESCRIPTION:Join The Walden Woods Project and RESTORE: The North Woods for 
 a special presentation from George Wuerthner\n\nAbout George Wuerthner:\n\
 nGeorge Wuerthner is an ecologist with a long-standing interest in wolves.
  He helped promote wolf restoration in Yellowstone\, Oregon\, and Californ
 ia. He has previously worked as a backcountry ranger in the Gates of the A
 rctic National Park in Alaska\, river ranger and biologist on several Wild
  and Scenic Rivers in Alaska\, and a rare plant biologist for the BLM in I
 daho. He also has been a wilderness guide in Glacier Bay and Yellowstone N
 ational Parks. Over the years he has visited more than 400 designated wild
 erness areas and more than 200 National Park units. He has published 38 bo
 oks\, including Protecting the Wild and Keeping the Wild. For a dozen year
 s\, he worked as Ecological Projects Director for Doug Tompkins's Foundati
 on for Deep Ecology and is now Executive Director of Public Lands Media. H
 e is also board president of RESTORE: the North Woods\, as well as board p
 resident of the Montana Wild Bison Restoration Council\, the Gallatin Yell
 owstone Wilderness Association\, and Sage Steppe Wild. \n\n \n\nAbout th
 e presentation:\n\nWuerthner will provide background on the Endangered Spe
 cies Act as it relates to wolf restoration\, how wolves have shaped ecosys
 tems like Yellowstone and how wolf restoration in Oregon and California ha
 s progressed. He will also discuss wolves in New England and opportunities
