 reau Farm\, and The Thoreau Society present a live panel discussion on Tra
 nscendentalism and its connection to literature\, art\, and music.\n\nThur

 se register here. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event:\n\n\n\n\nThis event will 
 include a panel discussion of the Transcendentalism Movement in the United
  States and how preserving our environment provides continued inspiration 
 for literature\, art and music. Panel will include Executive Directors fro
 m The Thoreau Society\, The Walden Woods Project\, and Thoreau Farm\, as w
 ell as the Curator of Collections at The Walden Woods Project.\n\nPanelist
 s: \n\nMichael Frederick is an experienced Executive Director skilled in
  nonprofit management\, events\, and public relations. His strong business
  development and community skills have helped to lead The Thoreau Society 
 since 2006. His field of study includes Thoreau’s social philosophy and 
 ethics.\n\nKathi Anderson is the Secretary of the Board and Executive Dir
 ector of The Walden Woods Project. From 1977-1990\, she was a staff member
  for U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy. She served as the legislative directo
 r of the Senator’s Massachusetts office and as a legislative assistant f
 or the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. She has served on a number of nonp
 rofit boards including RESTORE: The North Woods\, the Walden Conservancy a
 nd The Thoreau Society.\n\nJeffrey S. Cramer is The Walden Woods Project 
 Curator of Collections and resident Thoreau scholar. Jeff's works include
  I to Myself: An Annotated Selection from the Journal of Henry D. Thor
 eau\, The Portable Thoreau\, Solid Seasons\; The Friendship of Henry David
  Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson\, among others. He is a winner of a Natio
 nal Outdoor Book Award and a co-winner of the Boston Authors Club's Julia 
 Ward Howe Special Award.\n\nMargaret Carroll-Bergman is the executive dir
 ector of Thoreau Farm: Birthplace of Henry David Thoreau. She is an award-
 winning journalist and Thoreau practitioner. Carroll-Bergman and her husba
 nd live in a winterized\, 575 sq.ft.\, hunting and fishing cabin on White 
 Pond (a lesser twin of Walden) in Concord\, Massachusetts. Their adult chi
 ldren visit in shifts.\n\n\n\n\n
