The Stewardship Lectures 2005 - 2006

 November 17, 2005 and January 25, 2006

Mark and Marcia Wilson enchanted a full house on two nights - November 17, 2005 and January 25, 2006, with their live owl education program "Who Is Watching You? Owls of New England and Beyond". The evening began with a narrated slide presentation of Mark Wilson’s incredible color wildlife images. Marcia then introduced six different owls one by one to attendees of all ages and taught us about their habits and habitats. Ranging from screech owls no larger than a soda can to a snowy owl with a five foot wing span, these beautiful birds were enthusiastically welcomed to the Thoreau Institute. Volunteers from the audience learned to hoot or call to them.

The Wilsons donated a print of a snowy owl, like those known to “Harry Potter” fans, which was raffled to benefit the Walden Woods Project. To learn more about “Eyes On Owls”, visit www.eyesonowls.com. The Wilsons make numerous appearances in the area. Don’t miss the unique opportunity!
