is fit to grind before Oct 1st (though I hear of

kind ripe & fit to grind Sep 1) It becomes
[XX] hard
& dry enough in the husk in the field by that
[XX] time.
But way before thisor say by the 1st of Sep.
[XX] it
begins to glaze (or harden on the surface) when it
[XX] begs
to be too hard to boil.

7-60 Looked thro Hayden's farm &
[XX] granary.
He now takes pleasure in his field of corn just

counts the ears on a stalk

the end He loves to estimate the no of bushels
