Spring 2004 Program:  Nature Writing and Journalism

The Natural Subject: Nature Writing and Journalism spring program was designed to expose participants to a variety of styles and approaches to writing about nature as both a creative writing endeavor and as a journalistic project.  The program ran five sessions over a two month period.  Program presenters are each established writers and/or journalists from the area and each of them has made a career out of using nature as the subject of their writing.

The entire series was supported by the generous donations of Whole Foods Market of Wayland, who provided delectable treats and wonderful wine for each of the four evenings.

More than three dozen people participated in the program, which included discussions with the authors on their approach to the writing process, and the challenges of being a writer.
