Thursday, May 13, 2004 Jeffrey Hollender will be discussing some important and relevant issues confronted in his new book What Matters Most: How a Small Group of Pioneers is Teaching Social Responsibility to Big Business, and Why Big Business is Listening, which explores the relationship between business practices and social responsibility, and how the two work together in unexpected and productive ways.

President and CEO of Seventh Generation Jeffrey Hollender is the President and CEO of Seventh Generation, the nation's leading brand of safe and environmentally responsible household products. He is also the author of How to Make the World a Better Place. Hollender is also a member and former Director of the Social Venture Network, a group of socially-conscious business executives, as well as being a co-founder and at one time Director of Community Capital Bank, a New York financial institution that invests in affordable housing and community development. In addition, Hollender served for over five years as President of the Rainforest Foundation USA, an organization created to protect the rainforest and the human rights of its indigenous peoples.
