—Reception following—

Canadian photographer Thaddeus Holownia is Professor and Head of the Department of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. In 2001, Holownia received a Fulbright fellowship to embark on a photographic exploration of Walden Pond, visiting the area in all its seasons, over the course of two years — a deliberate echo of the two years Thoreau spent at the site. He has dedicated most of his career to large-format view-cameras, working in black and white and color.
