Fourth NEW-CUE Writer's Conference and Workshop

June 13-16, 2006

Boothbay Harbor, Maine

The Fourth NEW-CUE Writer's Conference and Workshop in honor of Rachel Carson will highlight the work of Henry David Thoreau. Featured speakers for the event will include Lawrence Buell, Jane Brox, Jeffrey Cramer, Ted Levin, and Jennifer Sahn. Outdoor activities include guided hikes, tidepool explorations, and visits to the Maine Botanical Gardens and the Burnt Island Lighthouse. NEW-CUE is dedicated to supporting the efforts of writers and educators, and it offers events that are limited to 100 participants, making it possible to focus on the individual. The site of the Conference/Workshop is located on the coast of central Maine, directly across the harbor from Rachel Carson's summer home on Southport Island.
